Saturday night - November 12th was one of those nights were everything seems to fall in to place. My good friend Mike Chinn and I were scheduled to get together and record a song then afterwards take a trip down to the RIBFEST to see DICKEY BETTS and his band GREAT SOUTHERN.
The song was great, Dickey was great (with guest, TC CARR) and the evening rolled along as if it were scripted. And best of all, I DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE so I was free to get carried along with it.
I know that the next day, as I stared in to the fridge wondering where the Styrofoam "to go" box came from and what was in it...it occurred to me...I NEVER TOOK ANY PICTURES!
But I remember several people standing next to me taking pictures and hoped that they would be kind enough to post them up on dickeybetts.com so at least I would have some pictures of THAT part of the evening. Sure enough - here are some pics of DICKEY AND HIS BAND taken by fellow music fan MIKE MCQUAIN. Thank you MIKE for taking and sharing the pics!
