My eldest son used to jump up in my bed when he was around 2 years old and carefully pile every pillow in the house on top of me. As I lay there, pleasantly smothered I could here his little voice asking me...

"...are you BASHED, daddy?...you BASHED?"

HEARTS FOR BUCS!

What a GREAT DAY!

Emily and I got a chance to attend a NFL football game at RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM today, thanks to THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION and JOHN WADE from the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS. John plays CENTER for the Bucs and donates 24 of his tickets from each home game to the American Heart Association. THANK YOU JOHN!

We were contacted last month by the AHA. Emily and one adult were invited to attend. What a great day it turned out to be. We woke up early, just Em and I. Father and Daughter. Got to the stadium early. Weather was beautiful. Hung out in the van and opened up all the doors and windows and watched FREAKY FRIDAY on the dvd player. We got a kick out of watching all the BUC FANS file in...some crazy characters! We then met up with the other heart kids and their parents and got our tickets. What a great bunch of kids. We all had plenty in common and lots to talk about. Then it was time...

The seats were AWESOME! FRONT ROW! I was BLOWN AWAY. I have never been so close to the action. The crowd was LOUD and COLORFUL. The players were AMPED UP. The atmosphere was ELECTRIC! We were READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!

This was Em's first game - I hope she realizes how special this was! It was wonderful to be there with her. Father and Daughter.

If only the Bucs would have won...

It was a great day and made even greater by the generosity of some BIG HEARTED PEOPLE!

Thank you JOHN and thank you AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION!
