My eldest son used to jump up in my bed when he was around 2 years old and carefully pile every pillow in the house on top of me. As I lay there, pleasantly smothered I could here his little voice asking me...

"...are you BASHED, daddy?...you BASHED?"

TY and a YELLOW RIBBON!

Thursday night was the REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR AWARDS and Casey had heard earlier that he would be receiving an award for his work this year on THE VISCOSITY OF HAIR GEL...lol, well it was more than that, but you get the idea.

He and his partner Ty were both surprised as they knew that this project wasn't expected to go far, in fact they completed it in good spirits and with only satisfying their course requirements in mind. Well LOW AND BEHOLD they received a FOURTH PLACE YELLOW RIBBON in the team category! Not too bad, considering they were up against all the middle and high school students in Pinellas County.

We are proud of Casey and Ty for sitting through the entire ceremony (their category was called last), graciously accepting their awards and most of all, doing it for their selves! They can take pride in knowing that they were rewarded for THEIR accomplishments!

Good job, guys!
